Thank you for visiting this site.

I trained in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and practice psychiatry in Boston and Cambridge Massachusetts. I consult to individuals, organizations, and government institutions.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist with three decades of clinical experience, specializing in psychotherapy, the psychiatry of work, and the role of work in mental health.

My psychotherapy practice is grounded in a psychodynamic and insight-oriented approach and is informed by long experience treating high-functioning adults. I work with patients to understand enduring patterns of thought, emotion, and relationship, enhancing their capacity to address the challenges of work, family, and daily life.

In addition to psychotherapy, I provide evaluation, consultation and coaching for organizations. My clinical style is thoughtful, collaborative, and pragmatic, with the aim of fostering insight, reducing suffering, and supporting meaningful and sustainable functioning.

I am not proud of the fact that some of my e-mail goes unanswered. It is never my intention to be rude or to give well-meaning readers the cold shoulder. If an e-mail that is sent goes unanswered, it is my hope that those who reach out will forgive me for being a bad correspondent.
